Digital Cinematography
 

First Semester :-
Class – 5 days in a week. (Maximum)
Theory Class – 3 days, 2:00 hours class
Practical class – 4 days in a week ( Maximum 4 hours in a day)
Film Session- Two day in a month (Maximum)

Theory Paper- (Maximum 3 days in a week)
1. Introduction to Film Making / Film language,                             Vocabulary and Directorial Practice.
2. Elements of Photography.
3. Theory of Light / Theory of Lens (Basic)

Practical Class – (Maximum 4 days in a week)
1. Basic operation class (2 hours)
2. Digital Camera operation with its all gadgets like  Rig/ follow focus / slider/ Mini hand crane / Steady Cam etc. (4 hours)
3. Basic lighting class (2 hours)
4. Shooting practical with Direction & Acting.
                                                   Film Session
1. Two days in a month 3 hours film screening with analysis.

 

SECOND SEMESTER:-
Theory class – Maximum 3 days / Each day 2 hours.
Practical class – Maximum 4 days (Maximum 4 hours per day)

Theory Paper-
1. History of Cinema.
2. Advanced camera theory.
[Developing film language through process of camera movement / operation / use of lens & light/ composition & framing.(with films scene screening & analysis)]
3. Digital Technology & Camera.

Practical Class – (Maximum 4 days in a week)
1. One day indoor shooting of small scene.
2. One day indoor shooting.
3. One day personal practical classes on operation & gadget use practical. (2 hours).
4. One day on lighting practice one various sequence (2 hours) (Personal)

                                           Film Session
1. Two days in a month 3 hours film screening with analysis.

 

THIRD SEMESTER:-
Theory class – Maximum 3 days / Each day 2 hours.
Practical class – Maximum  4 days (Maximum 4 hours per day)
Theory Paper-
1. Techniques of Non fiction film making & involvement of crew like cameraman & Editor with Director (combine class)
2. Lens/ Light & color psychology (personal)
3. Special screening & Analysis class on camera operation / composition & Framing. (personal class)


 

Practical Class – (Maximum 4 days in a week)
1. One to five minutes duration project film making. (outdoor/ indoor)
2. Practical on Song picturisation.
3. Personal basic operation (2 hours)
4.  Personal lighting (2 hours)
5. Work as a camera man of a Diploma Project film, Duration of 25 minutes.

Each & every students of Full time Digital Film Making department will get facilities to learn & work with full profession equipment & studio system as an Intern. At the time of internship they will get a minimum pay for their work as a stipend.

 After completion of the Internship, every students will get professional certificate by ‘Impression Media Service’ (An Audio Visual Research Unit)
